OTHER ANIMALS

Australia is one of the most biologically diverse places on Earth, and we saw good evidence of this during our trip.

We're pretty sure that this is a Northern Bandicoot, not a Brush-Tailed Bettong -  Here are Cleland's pictures of both.

Karen pets the bandicoots while they eat food she has placed on the path.

Another mystery animal, we think this is a bilby or perhaps a quoll.  It was very small and cute.

A Wombat.

A dingo, the Australian Wild dog

Wild Horses graze on the road to Ayres Rock Resort.

Endangered Rock Wallabies at Cleland.

(Diorama of a) platypus nest at Healesville.  It was too dark in the habitat to photograph a live one.
